How can I become insured as an Energetic/Spiritual Healing Practitioner?

Full Members

Discounted practitioner/teaching Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance is available to Full Members.

The insurance cover is optional, and is not included in the Membership fees.  For current premium rates please contact OAMPS Insurance on 1800 222 012.
If you wish to obtain insurance, please indicate on the Application Form when applying for Full membership. The Insurance Application Form will be forwarded with your membership package.

If you intend to hold any courses, workshops or seminars please speak to the Insurers. Under the Policy if the name of the insured includes that of a school or college then the teaching activities will automatically be covered. Cover is automatically provided for individual practitioners who teach for less than 25% of their normal working hours. Otherwise, please inform the Insurers as you may not be covered and they will advise if an additional premium will be required.

The Cover (briefly):

The insurer will pay your liability for damages arising from personal injury or damage to property arising from your business or occupation as listed on your proposal.

This insurance is extended to include:
  • Liabilities arising from breaches of your professional duties including diagnosis, prescribing, dispensing and treatment.
  • Liabilities arising from goods sold or supplied.
  • Liabilities arising from actions of your employees while carrying out their duties.
  • Unintentional libel or slander being a breach of professional duty.
  • Your liabilities as a tenant.
  • Liabilities arising out of you losing someone else's documents.
  • Cover extends for your professional activities worldwide, other than North America or where local legislation dictates you must have a local policy.

Cover for legal expenses can also be included at an additional cost.

For more information on cover, click here

Please note: If Full Members require cover for any other Diplomas, Certificate Courses or modalities (referred to as 'activities' in the Insurance document) that are not listed as an EHA Accredited Course or Accredited Modality; you will need to advise the Insurers when applying for cover. If the activity and qualification is acceptable to the Insurers, cover may be available at an additional cost.

Student Members

Student Members may approach OAMPS for insurance cover for other diplomas/disciplines not accredited by the EHA but the premium may not necessarily be at a reduced rate.

Companion Members

Companion Members may approach OAMPS for insurance to cover your business/practice but not under the EHA's policy.
